Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has expressed satisfaction over his decision to represent Nigeria over Germany.
The Rangers defender was in a state of dilemma over which country to place his international allegiance.
Balogun who has represented Germany in Youth cadre was eligible to play for both Nigeria and the German National Team, but he opted for Nigeria.
Balogun is born by a German mother with a Nigerian father giving him the privilege of representing any and has hailed himself for the decision he made.
“I’ve played a World Cup with Nigeria, I’m going to play Afcon with Nigeria, I have faced great teams with Nigeria so would you regret it?”
“There is no point in me regretting anything. I’m super grateful and it’s always a great experience to be here, I love the different vibe.” Balogun said.
He made his debut for Nigeria in 2014 and has gone on to make 41 appearances scoring one goal.
The former Brighton defender also hinted about his expectations in the Coming AFCON.
Balogun said, “Expectations are very high but for now I’m just happy and grateful for another big opportunity to face a big tournament with Nigeria.”
