Liverpool Football Club may shock the world as they are increasingly positioning themselves as favourites to land long-term target Erling Haaland, Daily Star reports.
The potential £64m signings will come as a request for Liverpool star Mohammed Salah who is considering his options for a new contract.
“Liverpool could pip their rivals to the £64m signing of Erling Haaland with Mohamed Salah reportedly demanding the club bring him to Anfield,” as quoted from the Daily Star.
The Reds have been in search of a goalscoring number 9 as Roberto Firminho is not guaranteed 30 goals in a season.
Haaland has been an instant hit since arriving at Dortmund and has been linked with a number of top European clubs.
Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich have all been linked to Smith the Norwegian and it appears Liverpool will have the strike.
Salah and Mane will be leaving in January for the Africa Cup of Nations and signing Haaland will be a huge addition to replace the duo in the attack.
