Manchester United shot-stopper David De Gea has become the first goalkeeper since 2016 to be named Premier league player of the month.
The Spanish international was picked ahead of Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City, West Ham’s Bowen, Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse, Leeds hat-trick hero Jack Harrison and Wolves Joao Moutinho.
De Gea made a whopping 22 saves in January as Manchester United found their way back to a top-four spot.
He also kept one clean sheet as she produced 8 saves against Brentford.
He has been the brain behind United’s return to form under new boss Ralf Rangnick and he cannot be underestimated when he is on form.
