Nigeria Professional football league strugglers Heartland Football Club of Owerri has announced the resignation of their coach Hassan Abdullah.
The coach issued a letter of resignation to the club on Wednesday, February 2 asking to step down from his role.
“We received, and have accepted a resignation letter from Hassan Abdallah dated February 2, 2022. This brings to an end a torrid 2 months relationship with the tactician. We wish him well in his future endeavours.” Heartland wrote.
The Owerri-based side is languishing in 19th on the log having gathered seven points in 10 games having lost 4-0 to Shooting Stars in their last outing.
Heartland host Gombe United in their matchday 11 fixture in Owerri and it appears Hassan’s assistant will be in charge for the coming game pending the Club’s announcement.
