Akwa United goalkeeper Jean Efala will return to the club with a bronze medal after his side defeated Burkina Faso to claim third in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in his homeland.
Efala was selected as one of the backup goalkeepers to first choice Andre Onana and was an unused sub as Cameroon went on to claim the prize.
Cameroon came from a three-goal deficit to bring themselves level as Vincent Abubakar inspired his side with two goals.
The Nigeria Professional Football League Champion has added yet another medal to his medal cabinet having the Nigerian league with Akwa United last season.
