Frank Edoho, the host of the popular television game show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM),” has made a comeback.
On Sunday night, the game show’s organizers presented Frank Edoho at a ceremony in Lagos.
The new season will begin on March 20, 2022, and will last 52 weeks.
The sponsors claim that a whopping sum of N20 million will be awarded.
The new edition of the game, dubbed “The Rebirth,” contains a new lifeline called “asking the host” to help participants who are stuck on questions in addition to other lifelines lines like, “50-50,” “Call a Friend,” and “Ask the Audience”.
Frank thanked fans and well-wishers in a statement on his official Twitter account on Monday morning, announcing his return to the show.
Speaking at the occasion in Lagos, UP’s Managing Director, Agada Apochi, said the show has been relaunched to excite the audience.
“We are sponsoring Who Wants to Be a Millionaire to entertain, educate and excite Nigerians. The return of WWTBAM is coming with a bang that would create lasting memories in the audience’s minds. It is going to keep them on the edge of their seats as new millionaires emerge from the show,” he said.
From the show’s premiere on October 8, 2004, until September 2, 2017, Frank Edoho was the host.
He had exited by announcing on Twitter that he would no longer host the show since he and the show’s organizers could not come to an agreement on certain terms.
