Nigeria mixed-martial-arts specialist Israel Adesanya on Sunday successfully defended his UFC middleweight title against Robert Whittaker.
The fight took place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, United States of America.
Whittaker challenged Adesanya to a title fight as he became to the fourth person to do so.
But the Nigerian left no stone unturned as he defeated the 31-year old New Zealand fighter.
Adesanya first knocked down Whittaker but he eventually survived and went back to his fest as quickly as possible.
But Adesanya still came out victorious for the second time after he had already defeated the same opponent in 2019 in Melbourne, Australia.
The win against Whittaker is Adesanya’s fourth title defense since becoming the World’s middleweight champion having defeated Yoel Romero, Paolo Costa, and Marvin Vettori.
