Akwa United Captain Ubong Friday has sent an emotional goodbye message to coach Kennedy Boboye after his resignation.
Boboye resigned after the goalless draw with struggling Heartland FC of Owerri at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday in Uyo.
“It’s been a great journey with you since 2019. Thanks for the fatherly love and care.
“Thanks greatly for taking us on that historical run last year, thanks for delivering the trophy.
“I wish you the best in your future endeavor. Coach Kennedy Boboye we will miss you greatly.” Ubong Friday wrote on his social media page.
Akwa United travel to Remo stars on Wednesday and are keen on reviving their season after the abysmal start.
