The newly approved Federal University of Technology in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State will begin its operation as a full-fledged University after the Federal Government of Nigeria set up the school’s hierarchy.
The Buhari-led administration on Friday, February the 16th, 2022 announced that a hierarchy headed by the Vice-Chancellor has been set up to commence work in the school.
The appointment was led by Prof. LEO DANIEL as the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Offiong Ita Nkang was appointed the Registrar with Mbobo Erasmus-Mbobo the Bursar as well as a professor Philip Akor the Chief Librarian.
The approval adds to the number of already existing Universities in Akwa Ibom State, taking its tally to three after Akwa Ibom State University and the famous University of Uyo.
The University is yet to commence admission but a statement of intent is expected from the new Vice-chancellor.
