Enyimba striker Victor Mbaoma scored his 40th NPFL goal for the club in their 1-1 draw against Plateau United in a matchday 18 fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Mbaoma opened the scoring for the People’s Elephant in the 28th minute, taking his league goals to 40 since joining Enyimba.
The former Akwa United forward has hit the ground running since he joined the Aba-based side.
The 25-year old has also scored 10 CAF Confederations Cup goals as well as two CAF Champions League goals.
His contract with Enyimba expires in a few months and negotiation is expected soon as the hierarchy of the club wants him to remain.
