Mr Moses Udo-Obong has been appointed the pioneer head coach of the newly created Sir Monty Football Club in Akwa Ibom State.
A sports journalist and member of Referees Association of Nigeria, Nsikak-Abasi Akpan who represented the Chairman of the club on a special session on Atlantic FM Sports program ‘Total Naija Football broke the news.
The new club will compete in the Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) as part of the setup towards the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The owner of the Club Sir Monday Uko who is the Honourable Commissioner for Sports in Akwa Ibom State runs the club as a private entity with his personal assistant Prince Ukeme Ukpong as the Chairman of the club.
The team made their debut in the league on Wednesday in a 1-1 draw against Leopard FC.
