The Ghana Football Association has turned down the 10,000 tickets requested by the Nigeria Football Federation for their match against the Black Stars of Ghana next week.
Ghana host Nigeria in a 40,000 capacity Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and Nigeria requested more than 20% of the total capacity of the stadium which amounts to 10,000 seats.
NFF earlier stated that they need 10,000 tickets for their traveling supporters but 2,000 have been approved.
According to the Ghana high commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Rashid Bawa who announced that the Football Federation of Ghana have approved 2,000 tickets to fans from Nigeria which is just a small portion of the 40,000 seats available.
The two-legged tie which will first take place in Ghana on March 25 before the return leg a few days later in Abuja will see either the black Stars or the Super Eagles qualify for the World Cup later this month in Qatar.
