Super Falcons Forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, has taken to social media to appreciate her teammates for the draw they secured in the second leg of their friendly match against Olympic Champions Canada.
The Nigeria female team were held to a 2-2 draw by their Canadian counterpart in the second leg, played in the early hours of Tuesday.
Rasheedat, who was among the goal scorers for the Super Falcons, took to her official Twitter handle to express her feelings after the game.
“Thank you Nigerians, thank you @CANWNT.”
“A good outing with the girls and always happy to get on the scoresheet. Proud of this team as always ๐.” Rasheedat wrote.
Nigeria was defeated, 2-0, by Canada in the first leg but the second leg in Langford saw the West African side up their game and secure a point which is a morale boosting for them.
