The news of the tragic death of Ada Ameh, the 48-year-old, comedian and television personality has been received with sighs all around Nigeria. She was a Nigerian actress who spent a good deal of time in the movie industry. She is most recognized for her character as “Emu Johnson” in the award-winning television series, The Johnsons.

The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed that Ada died on Sunday, 18th July 2022 at a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation hospital in Delta state.
The last time she is seen and heard from is a video she shared on the same Sunday by 12:53 pm where she posted her time out with the family and the meal they seemed to have been sharing.
She reportedly collapsed at this house in Warri, Delta state, and died on her way to the hospital. While the details of the activities surrounding her collapse at her friend’s house isn’t precise, the actress seems to have been on a rough road recently and was struggling with both mental and physical ill health

Ada Ameh was born and raised in Ajegunle, Lagos state on the 15th of May, 1975. Although she was primarily from Idoma in Benue State. She started acting in 1995 but had her breakthrough role in 1996 as Anita in the movie Domitilia. She also got a part in the television series the Johnsons where she starred as Emu Johnson
When she was 14 she gave birth to her only daughter, Aladi Godgift Ameh, who she tragically lost on the 20th of October 2020. When she had given birth to her daughter, her father had reportedly sent her out of the house for some time.
Over the course of time, quite sadly, Ada Ameh had lost over 6 family members alongside her only daughter who had become her confidant over the years and whom she had gone through a lot with. These losses had led her to struggle with depression and some level of alcoholism

Although it sounded like she regretted it deeply, it seemed to just be a mother’s woes at losing such a great treasure, a trophy as Ada Ameh referred to her daughter.
