Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey and the Ayew brothers have all been named in Ghana’s provisional squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
The Black Stars who are in group C will face Gabon, Comoros and Morocco made the release on Tuesday to confirm the players who will be traveling for the African showpiece.
Five new members of the squad have been listed and could mks their debut for the greatest African football event.
Vitoria Guimaraes centre-back Abdul Mumin, Real Tamale United attacker David Abagna, Clermont midfielder Salis Abdul Samed, Genk winger Joseph Paintsil and Great Olympics forward Maxwell Abbey Quaye, have also been called up.
Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu, as well as Club Brugge winger Kamal Sowah, have reportedly turned down an opportunity to play for the Black Stars at the next year’s event.
