Senegal started with a goal victory over Zimbabwe thanks to Sadio Mane’s 97th-minute penalty.
Guinea followed suit with a similar result over Malawi but not a penalty this time thanks to Issiaga Sylla’s strike.
Morocco edged Ghana in another 1-0 victory, a third of the night with Sofiane Boufal scoring the only goal.
Gabon defeated tournament debutants Comoros with yet another 1-0 victory thanks to Aaron Boupendza’s strike, the fourth scorer of the day.
Senegal is top of group B followed by Guinea with three points each as Malawi as Zimbabwe maintain third and fourth respectively.
Elsewhere in Group C, Morocco remain top with three points, followed by Gabon with the same points as Ghana and Comoros remain third as fourth respectively.
Group D faces each other today as Nigeria takes on Egypt with Sudan and Guinea-Bissau facing each other.
