Guinea youngster Moriba Kourouma Kourouma better known as Ilaix Moriba has been awarded the young player award for the group stages of the Africa Cup of Nations 2021 delayed edition.
Moriba is just 19 years and three days (as of January 22, 2022) and has stared for Guinea in the ongoing AFCON.
Moriba who is currently plying his trade with German side RB Leipzig started his career at Espanyol before he was snapped up by Barcelona.
He featured severally for Barcelona team B scoring a couple of goals before being promoted to the senior team in 2021.
The youngster played 14 times for Barcelona senior team scoring one goal and has as well played for Spanish U17 and U18 before switching allegiance to Guinea.
Guinea are into the round of 16 after finishing second to Senegal and will play Gambia, another opportunity for Moriba to display his talent.
