Liverpool and Chelsea duo of Sadio Mane and Edouard Mandy have departed England to Senegal as preparation intensifies for the forthcoming AFCON tournament slated for Cameroon in the next few days.
The pair featured in a premier league classic between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford on Sunday.
They departed on board chartered flight hours after the 2-2 draw at the Bridge, a match that Mane scored against his countryman Mendy.
The Senegalese team will first assemble in Dakar before flying to Rwanda for final preparations where they will play two friendlies before departing to Cameroon.
Senegal are number 1 in Africa in FIFA ranking and are pared in group B alongside Guinea, Zimbabwe and Malawi and will kick start their campaign against the Warriors of Zimbabwe on January 10th.
