Super Eagles of Nigeria on Monday received a major boost in their quest to win their fourth African Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
Defender Chigozie Awaziem who is yet to take part in this year’s tournament returned to full training after missing the first two games due to an ankle injury.
The 25-year old defender has been ably deputised by Torino’s Ola Aina at the right side of the Eagles defense.
Porto left-back Zaidu Sanusi has been in fine form at the left side filling in for Aina too and they have conceded just one goal (a penalty against Sudan) from their two games while scoring three.
It is uncertain whether coach Augustine Eguaveon will affect any change in the lineup that has produced one of the best tournament performances for the Eagles but whoever starts is believed to be of great courage especially as the team has already qualified to the knockout stages.
