Middlesbrough defender, Sol Bamba, was all smiles when he made a substitute appearance in the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Manchester United on Friday at Old Trafford.
The defender this time last year was diagnosed with Leukaemia, recovers and gets back playing football and now scoring a penalty at Old Trafford to knock man United out of the FA Cup.
Boro held United to a 1-1 draw at the regulation time as the game was dragged into extra time but United still couldn’t find their way through.
Bamba was brought on by Chris Wilder in the second half of extra time and WA was selected for the spot-kick.
Bamba berried his effort at the bottom right-hand corner of Dean Henderson.
Youngster Anthony Elanga missed the only kick of the game, blasting his effort over the crossbar to give borrow an 8-7 victory over United at Old Trafford to move into the fifth round.
