Bishop T.D. Jakes, the senior pastor of The Potter’s House, Dallas, Texas has confirmed that he will be the guest minister at the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol Festival.
The annual festival is set to be held on the 17th of December, 2021 at the Ibom Hall Arena, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Jakes made this announcement in a statement featured in a promotional video for the carol festival.
He extended an invite to the entire public to attend the event asserting to the public that he was bringing a word from God for people from all works of life.
In his words, “One chance, one day, one opportunity, I want to meet you there because God has given me a word for you, my experience, my life’s experience, my life’s work is all coming with me to culminate in a session that draws both the people of faith and the people of business, the people of entrepreneurship and the people of dreams.”
The annual Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol Festival started in 2008 under the administration of Godswill Akpabio, the former governor of Akwa Ibom State.
The event made global history in 2011 when it featured an unprecedented 9,999-member choir, which at the time was the world’s largest Christmas choir.
In December, 2014, the event, which comprised 25,272 carol singers and was officially verified and cited in the Guinness World Records created a new World Record in a gathering that featured the largest group of carol singers in the world.
Today, the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival has grown significantly to become a sparkling festival of Christian songs, dancing, worship, and fun that attracts top artists and worshipers from all over the world.
