The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has rescheduled the 3rd place playoff of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations 2021 edition in Cameroon.
The match was earlier planned to take place on Sunday but will now be brought forward to Saturday.
According to the organisers of the event, security concern is the reason for the change as it is not healthy to host both the final and the 3rd place playoff on the same day.
Burkina Faso has already qualified for the 3rd place having lost 3-1 to Senegal and will know their opponents on Thursday after the second semi-final will be played between Egypt and host Nation, Cameroon.
