Danish star Christian Eriksen has on Friday terminated his contract with Internarionale Milan on mutual agreement.
Eriksen joined Inter from Tottenham Hotspur in 2020 signing a four-and-a-half year deal worth £16.9m.
The 29-year old suffered a cardiac arrest while on international duty for Denmark in June this year.
He was later okayed by his team of medical experts to play, but Serie A rules does not allow players to play with defibrillators and Eriksen is not an exemption.
As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, “Inter and Christian Eriksen have decided to terminate the current contract by mutual agreement, as he’s officially not allowed to play in Serie A with defibrillator.
“Official announcement soon – then Eriksen will be free to consider proposals from other countries.”
