Super Eagles forward, Samuel Chukwueze, sent his side, Villarreal, into their first ever UEFA Champions league semi finals with a late strike at the Football Arena, Munich, on Tuesday night.
Chukwueze came in as a substitute in the second half as Bayern were leading with a 1-0 advantage.
The Nigerian capitalized on his team’s swift counter attack to slot home past Manuel Neuer to equalize and set his team up for their first ever UEFA Champions league semi final.
Villarreal defeated Bayern in the first leg in Spain, thanks to a 1-0 victory, and came to Germany to defend.
Robert Lewandowski gave Bayern the breakthrough in the 57th minute but Chukwueze came on to cancel it, putting the game on a 2-1 aggregate for Villarreal.
The 22-year old has been struggling for form in recent times and has lighted up his game with the goal.
Villarreal will play the winner between Chelsea and Real Madrid as they are currently on extra time.
