Manchester United will have a tough test when they host fellow Premier league side Aston Villa in the 3rd round of the FA cup as both Chelsea and Manchester City as well as Arsenal including Liverpool face low league sides according to the draws held on Monday.
The draws saw the 150th FA cup ( the oldest league in the world) 3rd round pair Man United against in-form Aston Villa who are on a true revival following the appointment of Steven Gerard as their new boss, losing just one match while recording three victories in his first four matches.
Chelsea will play host to Chesterfield who are currently competing in the fifth tier of English football, while Manchester City will travel to Swindon Town who are playing in EFL league two.
Liverpool and Arsenal face Shrewsbury Town and Nottingham Forest who are competing in League one and EFL Championship respectively.
The matches will be played over the weekend of 7th January 2022.
