The Super Eagles in the previous ranking were on 36th but have now advanced owing to their current form as released by FIFA on their official website.
Belgium remains the Best team in the World, followed by Brazil, France, Argentina and England in 2nd, third, fourth and fifth places respectively.
Meanwhile, in the African continent, the Terenga Lions of Senegal who are the current Champions of Africa remain top with Morocco coming second as Super Eagles remain the third-best team in Africa.
Despite their early elimination in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, the West African side is still one of the football powerhouses in Africa.
They go into World Cup qualifiers against The Back Stars of Ghana who are 61st in the world and Nigeria will be expected to come out top and qualify for the World football event in Qatar.
