Ghana Legend Sammy Kuffour paid an unannounced visit to the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Monday at their base in Garua, Cameroon.
Kuffour who is a friend to the current Eagles interim boss Augustine Eguaveon took out time to be with his friend especially in this time of excitement as Nigeria is enjoying their fine form at the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
Coach Eguaveon took to his official social media page to announce the visit, “With my Brother and Friend, Ghana and Bayern Munich Legend, Sammy Osei Kuffour. Thanks for stopping by.”
Nigeria is preparing for their final group game having recorded two wins from two games.
The Super Eagles defeated tournament favourites Egypt in their opening group game thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho’s lone strike.
The West African side produced another top-notch performance against Sudan with a comfortable 3-1 victory.
They need a win to secure their 100%record and as well win the group en route to the knockout stages.
Though the purpose for the visit was not stated, it is believed that it was a mere friendship visit.
