Gunmen who kidnapped the Founder and President of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle Dr. John Okoriko, asked for a reduced sum on Friday after their initial demand.
The kidnappers earlier asked for a 100 Million Naira ransom when they reached out to the family of the clergy man but have now asked for a reduced sum of 30 Million Naira.
According to Harrison Essien who broke the purported reduction of the ransom, the kidnappers communicated to the family their willingness to compromise on their initial demand and reduce it so they can afford it.
Dr. Okoriko was kidnapped in his compound in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, in the eve of Tuesday.
His family was contacted the next day for a ransom of 100 Million Naira. This has been drastically reduced to 30 Million Naira and is yet to be confirmed if the family is willing to dish out that amount.
