The European leagues returned on Friday after the last international break which allowed teams to sort out their ways to Qatar as the FIFA World Cup approaches.
Two weeks have been enough for National teams to register themselves as participants in FIFA’s biggest event, with the most shocking result during the break, North Macedonia eliminating Italy from the World Cup.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria were also bundled out by neighbors, Ghana, who went to Abuja and played out a 1-1 draw, helping them qualify on away goal rule.
After all matches, the players have returned to their respective Clubs and are set to compete in their different leagues.
With two key Super Eagles midfielders out injured and Wilfred Ndidi declared to be out for the rest of the season, the extent to which Frank Onyenka will be sidelined is yet to be announced by his club Brentford.
