Ajax winger David Neres has joined the -Ukrainian side Shakhta Donetsk in a €12m deal, transfer market reports.
The deal is believed to rise to €16m in add ons depending on his performances and appearances.
Neres contract was due to expire in June 2023 but was out of favour in the Ajax team with the club also eyeing another winger.
Spurs out of form Dutch winger Steven Bergwijn is Ajax’s primary target and the winger is likely to join the Eredivise side owing to his lack of playing time in England.
The 24-year old Neres joined Ajax academy from Sao Paulo in his native Brazil back in 2017 and was promoted to the senior side in 2017, making 121 appearances and scoring 37 goals.
He departs Nederlands as he deals take effect immediately.
