It’s been raining congratulations back-to-back for Nigeria as a result of the actions of these women who, against all odds, broke records in the world at large, thus bringing attention to Nigeria from around the globe.
From the music industry to the world of sport, these women accomplished some great feats that brought them into the light.

Tiwa Savage
On the 15th of July, Tiwa Savage received an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Kent, her Alma mater.
She is now a recognized Doctor of Music at the school.
“Some call me queen, but it’s Dr Savage from now on,” Savage said in a speech while accepting the degree.

Shortly after she won the BET awards, Tems vocals was heard in a recently released teaser for Marvel’s Blank Panther: Wakanda Forever.

This Nigerian Footballer became the first woman in the world to win the award for Women’s Player of the year, five times in a row now.
Tobi Amusan
Tobi’s impressive performance at the semifinals and finals of the World Athletics Championships earned her the title of Nigeria’s golden girl. Tobi smashed a world record in the women’s 100m hurdles, setting a record time of 12.12. This was a huge win for Nigeria.
Ese Brume
Ese became the first Nigerian athlete to win medals at two World Athletics Championships at the just concluded Olympics. This event was held in Oregon, United States.
