3SC midfielder Anietie Uko has vowed to stop his state team Akwa United when they visit Ibadan at weekend for their matchday two fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Akwa United will visit 3SC who just got promoted back to the league and one of their new acquisitions and former Vice-Captain of Vandrezzer Football club has proved his side ready for the fixture.
“I’m here to work, no doubt Akwa United is a team I respect so much but this is a matter of business so mixing emotions won’t be welcomed… being my state team should be the more reason to make a statement on the pitch” Uko said.
While speaking exclusively to Livefromnaija, the former Greater Tomorrow Sports Academy of Uyo graduate will be making his league debut and he is bracing up for the new challenge.
“Yes most likely to feature… the feeling is great full of optimism but in taking the stage one must control anxiety.”
“Life itself is a challenge and accepting challenges is a sign of growth and to be the best, I have to compete with the best so yes am ready.” Anietie Uko told Livefromnaija.
