Peter Olayinka was on target for his club, Slavia Prague, in a dramatic 3-3 draw in their first leg of the Europa Conference league quarter finals held in Netherlands.
Olayinka struck in the 41st minute to bring his side to level before the break, having fallen behind in the first 10 minutes.
The 26-year old has been prolific recently for his side but was ignored by the former coach of his National team, Augustine Eguavoen, in their World Cup qualifiers against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Nigeria lost to Ghana on the away goal rule after playing a goalless draw in Kumasi, and a 1-1 draw in Abuja.
Slavia Prague will have the chance to progress to the semi finals when Feyenoord visits them next week for a return fixture in Czech Republic. The former Gent forward will be hoping to build on the current form.
