Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuacho, sent a message of intent to his former National team coach, Augustine Eguavoen, after netting a hat-trick for his club Genk FC.
Onuacho scored twice from the spot kick in the first half before completing his hat-trick in the second half against Eupen on Sunday.
The 27-year old has now scored 19 league goals for Genk in the Belgian Pro League.
Onuacho was ignored by coach Augustine Eguavoen during Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Nigeria failed to find the back of the net in Kumasi but played a 1-1 draw in Abuja which sent Nigeria home, according to the away goal rule.
Nonetheless, Onuacho is yet to find the back of the net for Nigeria despite featuring three times for the team between 2019 and 2022.
If he is to play for Nigeria in the World Cup, he will have to wait another four years.
