The Super Eagles new coach, Jose Peseiro, expressed his pleasure to be named Nigeria’s national team coach.
The Portuguese Manager took to his official Twitter handle to exclaim. He also mentioned Nigeria’s Super Eagles to be one of the best football teams in the World.
“Pride! It is with great pride and joy that I am the coach of one of the greatest football nations in the world.” Peseiro said.
He also acknowledged the achievements of the Nigeria national team stating that they have won the African Cup of Nations on three occasions and made six appearances in the FIFA World Cup.
“Commanding the Super Eagles starts with knowing how to respect history, value it and be inspired by its roots.” Peseiro added.
The gaffer is up for his first assignment as the head coach of the Nigeria national team as he prepares his team to face Mexico and Ecuador later next month.
