Salzburg’s only scorer in their first-ever UEFA Champions League knockout phase Chukwubuike Adamu is still eligible to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Chukwubuike was born in Kano, the Northern part of Nigeria, and traveled out in search of greener pastures.
The 20-year old joined GSV Wacker of Austria in 2011 before he was snapped up by Grazer AK in 2014.
In the summer of 2015, the young lad was signed by Austrian top side Red Bull Salzburg which he currently represents.
Chukwubuike has played for the Austrian U18, U19, U21, and the Austrian National team.
But the Salzburg Star is still eligible to represent Nigeria with the new FIFA rules.
Having played for the Austrian National team just once, and with the new FIFA rules which states that as long as a player has played no more than three matches (including friendlies), none of the matches were in the final tournament of the FIFA World Cup or confederation competition, and they all happened before the player turned 21.
Chukwubuike is 20 years and has played once for Austria making him eligible to take a decision Real Madrid defender and his National teammate David Alaba was unable to take.
