Sierra Leone hero who scored his country’s first-ever goal in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon has been rewarded with a car gift by the Vice-President of his country.
Musa Tombo scored his side’s equaliser against Ivory Coast in their second group game of the tournament after playing a goalless draw with defending Champions Algeria.
The 21-year old who plies his trade with Bo Rangers in the Sierra Leone top-flight league scored what was his country’s first-ever AFCON goal in their first appearance in the tournament and his first international goal.
Musa Tombo paraded with the new car he got as a gift from Sierra Leone Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, for scoring Sierra Leone’s first goal in the AFCON.
Sierra Leone was unable to make it to the round of 16 as one of the best losers after gathering two points from three games with two draws and one loss as they went home with pride.
