Armenia midfielder Solomon Ime Udo celebrated his first win with the Armenia National team after a 1-0 victory over Montenegro on Thursday.
Vahan Bichakhchyan scored a superb first-time strike to gift Armenia the lead and the eventual winner after a defensive blunder by the Montenegro defense.
“It feels so good starting the year victorious🇦🇲❤️💪🏾” Udo wrote on his official Facebook page.
Udo started in his most-preferred holding midfielder role and played for 86 minutes before being replaced by Artak Grigoryan.
The Ararat-Armenia midfielder was born in Ikot Ekpene, Nigeria, but chose to represent the Armenia National team after serving them at club level for years.
They played their first game of 2022 against Montenegro in a friendly encounter and Armenia were runaway winners with a lone goal.
