Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen came on as a substitute to salvage a point for Napoli in their Serie A game at Cagliari on Monday.
Osimhen was on the bench when Cagliari took the lead against the Naples-based side.
But was brought on in the 67th minutes to replace 26-year old Andrea Petagna.
And the Nigerian was found in the box by Mario Rui as he sent in a crashing header that gave the goalkeeper no chance as he brought his side level.
Osimhen was absent in the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon due to testing positive of COVID-19 a few days before the kickoff of the tournament.
But the 23-year old is in contention for a place in next month’s crucial world cup double-header qualifiers against the Black Stars of Ghana.
