Following his superlative performance last night at the finals of the UEFA Europa League in Sevilla, Rangers defender, Calvin Bassey, was rated best player of the match by Kenneth Omeruo.
Omeruo, who is an international teammate of Bassey, twitted on his official account “Bassey man of the match for me 😨😨.”
The 22-year old Bassey started at the left side of Rangers’ three-man centre back and was on every act when it came to defending.
He helped his side in attack and defending, and never raised a wrong foot.
The Nigerian was praised by the commentator, especially when he slipped in the second half but did well to cover up and get back to still defend without committing a foul.
Rangers lost the trophy to Frankfurt in a 5-4 win.
