Super Falcons of Nigeria have qualified for the 2022 female edition of the Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Morocco later this year.
Nigeria defeated host Ivory Coast in the Robert Champroux stadium on Wednesday afternoon to secure the qualification.
The Nigerian side had earlier defeated their opponent in the first leg in Abuja with a 2-0 victory.
But went on to cement their place in Morocco with another victory in far away Cote d’Ivoire.
Nigeria goalkeeper Nnadozie saved a spot-kick from the Ivorians in the first 45 minutes to keep her side still in the contest and ensured she kept her clean sheet both home and away.
Esther Okoronkwo put the Falcons in front late in the second half to secure a doubleheader win against Ivory Coast and ensure Nigeria goes to Morocco with clean hands.
