Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Tripper is close to a return for the premier league with Newcastle his deal.
The Magpies have been monitoring the former Tottenham star since December and it appears a deal is close for the 31-year old.
“Not a done deal yet but Kieran Trippier’s now getting closer to join Newcastle. Club working on final official proposal to Atletico Madrid in order to complete the agreement soon.” Fabrizio Romano writes.
The right-back has been considering a return to England over other deals and it appears Newcastle is his next destination.
“Trippier prioritises Premier League move. Newcastle pushing on this one since Dec 15.” he added.
