The Super Falconets of Nigeria have put themselves on the front foot against Senegal after recording an emphatic 3 -1 away win in their first leg of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria forward Flourish Sabastine scored all three goals for her country to take the match ball and also put themselves in control of the two-legged tie.
Adji Ndiaye scored what was like a consolation goal for Senegal after finding the back of the net in the 89th minute.
Sabastine scored in the 8th and 56th minute, and a spot-kick in the 62nd minute to complete her hat-trick.
The Falconets will host Senegal in Nigeria for the second leg as they prepare to take one of the two tickets reserved for Africa, as Costa Rica prepares to host the world later on in August this year.
The FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup was to be played in 2020 but was postponed due to the Corona virus pandemic and the event is ready to be hosted.
