Super Eagles and SSC Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is set to make a sensational return to action next week, according to his Club doctor Raffaele Canonico.
Osimhen was due to spend three months on the sidelines for a head injury he sustain late in October.
But reports have suggested that the former Lille star will return earlier than scheduled which sounds good in the ears of Super Eagles fans.
The striker was due to miss the Nations Cup in January next year after a successful head surgery last Tuesday and Napoli doctor has come out with a positive announcement, suggesting his return next week.
Osimhen collided with Inter Milan defender Milan Skrinia and was taken off via a stretcher in a Serie A game last week and a successful operation the next Tuesday was done making it sound as a surprise how fast he can return to full fitness.
Osimhen had scored five Serie A goals and four in the Europa League so far this season and he was Nigeria’s top scorer in the recently concluded first phase of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with four goals.
