Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was on the form of his life when his club Sparta Rotterdam were in action against Vitesse Arnhem on Friday.
Okoye started in goal as Sparta took an early lead within five minutes into the game.
The home side Vitesse tried bringing the scores on level terms but the Nigerian man refused to let the ball into the net.
In the 63rd minutes, Loïs Openda thought he had canceled out Adrian Dalmau’s early strike after being awarded a penalty.
But Okoye went the right way and made a superb save to deny Vitesse the equalizer.

His heroics denied Vitesse their third successive victories after winning their previous two games.
It was late after the 90th minute that home fans couldn’t hold it anymore as Okoye continued to be adamant, resisting all attempts by the home side to equalize.
Water bottles were thrown at Okeye and fans started confronting the Super Eagles man when the match was on which caused the officials to end the match abruptly in the 92nd minute.
It’s unknown what the Dutch FA are saying about the development but it is expected that by Saturday a statement shall be heard from the FA.
