Ecuador coach, Gustavo Alfaro, has confirmed that the tricolors will engage the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in friendly games as part of their preparations for the FIFA World Cup later this year.
Both games are expected to take place in the United States of America in June.
“I asked for African rivals because we can’t play with European teams because they are not available,” the Argentine told ESPN Ecuador.
Ecuador is drawn against the Terenga Lions of Senegal, host Qatar and the Netherlands in group A.
While preparing to play against Senegal, Ecuador wants to have a taste of African Football while playing both a West African Nation and a North African country.
Tunisia, who are also preparing for the World Cup, will use the game to test their resolve against the South Americans.
